The recent cold weather has led to many households across the UK rushing to crank up their heating. But Aldi is offering a cheap product that will help you keep warm this winter while slashing your energy bills.

Heating typically uses the most amount of energy and having it on for a longer period of time could result in skyrocketing energy bills. Now UK households have been offered a cost-effective solution by the bargain supermarket’s product that will help Brits save on their energy bills, without having to sacrifice a warm home.

Aldi’s Superfoil Radiator Reflector is designed to reduce heat loss and ensure homes stay warmer for longer. It works by reflecting warmth into the room, rather than letting it escape through the walls.

The supermarket claims that the device can cut heat loss by a significant 86% making it an efficient option to keep UK homes without boosting the thermostat, The Sun reports.

Shoppers can purchase the reflector in-store only, at a bargain price of just £9.99. It comes with a built-in adhesive strip, making it completely easy to install without the need for any extra tools.

Simply cut the foil to fit your radiator and then stick it on. One set is enough to be used on up to three radiators in the home.

Aldi’s radiator reflector has been found the be cheaper than similar products sold by other retailers, including B&Q and Amazon, which both sell radiator heat reflective foil at prices starting at £12, and options at £25, respectively.

Customers, however, can also find a good deal for the device at Screwfix, which sells four metres of it for an impressive £6.38.

Before switching on the heater, households are advised by Village Heating to bleed their radiators to release trapped air and ensure that heat is distributed evenly.

The task can simply be done by switching off your heating once the radiator is warm and then inserting a bleed key and turning it anti-clockwise.

You should hear air being released followed by a small amount of water. Once that happens, close the valve and run the cold water for a minute to adjust the pressure.
