Tesco's 'do not eat' warning as Christmas dinner item has 'possible presence of moths'


Supermarket giant Tesco has issued a recall on a popular Christmas dinner food item – because it might contain moths.

Anyone who purchased the 130g Tesco Finest Apple and Cranberry Stuffing Mix can return it to the store for a full refund. They are being urged not to eat the product.

The Food Standards Agency recall notice says: “We are reca lling a single batch of Tesco Finest Apple & Cranberry Stuffing Mix due to the possible presence of moths which makes the product unfit for human consumption.

“Please do not consume this product and return it to store where aiull refund will be given. No receipt is required.”

The recalled stuffing mix packets have a best before date of September 2024. The FSA notice does not say why the packs may contain moths.

The recall notice adds: “Tesco apologises to our customers for any inconvenience caused. If you require further details, please contact Customer Services directly.”
