Shocking footage has shown the moment a lion attacked a woman and two children while on the loose in Lahore, Pakistan. CCTV footage captured the moment the animal leapt over a wall before pouncing on the woman’s back.
Fortunately, a brave onlooker was on hand to scare the lion away before it could cause any significant harm. The woman got back to her feet while the man continued to chase the lion away after the attack.
The father of the two children told police that the lion had also clawed his kids, aged five and seven, in the arms and face.
All three victims were taken to hospital for treatment but were not seriously hurt.
The father added that the owners of the lion were “amused to see their lion attack.”
Three men were arrested, police said.
The office of the Deputy Inspector General Operations in Lahore told AFP: “The suspects fled from the spot, taking the lion with them. They were arrested within 12 hours of the incident.”
Police also seized the 11-month-old male lion and sent it to a wildlife park.
