The International Tennis Integrity Agency has confirmed that Argentine tennis player Leonardo Aboian has been provisionally suspended pending the full consideration of anti-corruption charges.
The former world No. 229 has received a provisional ban under a section of the programme which claims there is a likelihood that he has committed a major offence, and the integrity of the sport could be undermined without a suspension.
The section of the Tennis Anti-Corruption Programme reads: “There is a likelihood that the Covered Person has committed a Major Offence and in the absence of a Provisional Suspension, the integrity of tennis would be undermined and the harm resulting from the absence of a Provisional Suspension outweighs the Hardship of the Provisional Suspension on the Covered Person.”
Aboian, 27, has been provisionally suspended since September 19, 2025. He did not appeal to an independent Anti-Corruption Hearing Officer (AHO).
During his provisional suspension, the Argentine cannot play in, coach at, or attend any tennis event sanctioned by the ATP, WTA, ITF, Tennis Australia, the French Tennis Federation, Wimbledon, the US Open, or any national federation.

The ITIA recently announced that it would trial support packages for individuals who are involved in Tennis Anti-Corruption and Tennis Anti-Doping Programme investigations.
Anyone involved in an ITIA investigation will receive financial assistance to test products, confidential third-party counselling, and free legal support.
The trial will run until the end of 2026, when the support programme will be reviewed.
