Tennis LIVE: Emma Raducanu has vitals checked as Novak Djokovic match cancelled | Tennis | Sport

Emma Raducanu suffered a health scare during her 6-4, 6-7(3), 6-2 loss to Jessica Pegula at the Miami Open. The Brit had already beaten four Americans, including eighth seed Emma Navarro, during her run to the quarter-finals. However, Raducanu needed courtside treatment from the doctor and had her vitals checked during the second set.

The lengthy clash between Raducanu and Pegula, which was fourth on the main court in Florida, meant that Novak Djokovic’s tie with Sebaqstian Korda was cancelled. The Serb was scheduled fifth on centre court but ATP rules prevent matches from starting past 11pm local time. It means the 24-time Grand Slam champion will have to return today.
