A 17 year old lad from Wisconsin is accused of murdering his parents as part of a grand scheme to assassinate President Donald Trump and topple the U.S. government, according to federal authorities.
Waukesha County officials have charged Nikita Casap with the murder of his mother and stepfather at their Wisconsin residence in February, alleging that he committed the act to “obtain the financial means and autonomy necessary” to execute his plot against President Trump and the American government.
In March, it was reported that Casap was apprehended and slapped with two counts each of first-degree murder and concealing a corpse. He also faces charges for theft of property exceeding £7600 ($10,000) and misappropriating ID to secure funds.
Court documents indicate that investigators are considering levying federal charges against him, including conspiracy, presidential assassination, and use of weapons of mass destruction, as per ABC News.
A press statement from the Waukesha County Sheriff’s Department disclosed that Donald Mayer, 51, Nikita’s stepfather, and Tatiana Casap, 35, Nikita’s mother, were found deceased at their home on March 1, reports The Mirror US.
Upon executing a search warrant, the sheriff’s department claimed to have discovered evidence on Casap’s phone linked to “The Order of Nine Angles,” described as “a network of individuals holding neo-Nazi racially motivated extremist views.”
The FBI has scrutinised documents purportedly penned by the teenager, which allegedly contain a call for President Trump’s assassination and the initiation of a revolution to “save the white race.”
Court records disclose that Casap’s supposed writings include images of Adolf Hitler accompanied by the words “HAIL HITLER HAIL THE WHITE RACE HAIL VICTORY.”
According to the federal affidavit, investigators stated: “He was in touch with other parties about his plan to kill the President and overthrow the government of the United States. And he paid for, at least in part, a drone and explosives to be used as a weapon of mass destruction to commit an attack,”.
The document further reads: “Other parties, with whom Casap was in contact, appear to have been aware of his plan and action and to have provided assistance to Casap in carrying them out,”.
Casap faced a preliminary hearing on his charges in court on Wednesday, April 9.
The 17 year old is currently in custody and has yet to enter a plea.
His next scheduled court appearance is on May 7.
