Taryn Hatcher, a former Phillies sideline reporter, has landed with The CW after being let go by NBC Sports Philadelphia, she shared with The Philadelphia Inquirer.
Hatcher, who joined The CW broadcast team earlier this month as part of its coverage of the Professional Bowlers Association, called it “the perfect fit opportunity” during a recent interview.
“I didn’t know what to expect, but it’s been so much more fun that I could’ve anticipated,” she said before praising the team, including former NASCAR lead announcer Rick Allen and former professional bowler Kyle Sherman.
Hatcher serves as a reporter and interviews bowlers after their victories during The CW broadcasts on Sundays at 4 p.m., per the Inquirer.
She covered the Illinois Classic in Decatur, Ill., where Anthony Simonsen won earlier this month.
The PBA season runs through April 26, and the PBA Tournament of Champions will take place in Fairlawn, Ohio, on that same day.

Hatcher previously worked in-stadium as a sideline reporter for the Phillies, as well as for 76ers games for NBCSP.
The network chose not to renew her contract after it expired following the 2025 season and eliminated the position, the Philadelphia Inquirer reported at the time.
Some fans also noticed that she was not included in a release by NBC Sports Philadelphia for spring training coverage plans.
Alexandra Matcham, NBCSP’s vice president of content, later explained the network is switching up its storytelling approach to a broader audience and changing its coverage.
Taking to her Instagram, Hatcher shared in a video post that she had received numerous job offers after her departure — but decided to take on short-term freelance gigs due to a health issue she needs to prioritize.
“Guys I AM OK, as I said, it’s just an important health thing I need to prioritize. I AM FINE,” she added in the comments. “Thank you for the concern – i promise you it’s not necessary.”
A South Jersey native, Hatcher joined NBCSP in 2018 and started as the Flyers’ rinkside reporter before moving to host the pre- and postgame studio shows. She later landed the sideline role with the Phillies.
