TalkTV’s Jeremy Kyle wants to run to become Reform MP in career U-turn | Celebrity News | Showbiz & TV

Jeremy Kyle is considering running to become a Reform MP in what would be a major career change for the television presenter. According to The Telegraph, the 60-year-old revealed he voted for Reform UK at the last election and hinted he could stand as a candidate for the party. Jeremy, who is best known for hosting The Jeremy Kyle Show on ITV before it was sensationally axed in May 2019, recently praised Reform leader Nigel Farage for “representing millions of hard-working people”. He made the comment as Reform continues to rise in the opinion polls, with TalkTV host telling the publication: “I was brought up [in a] Tory family, low taxation, all the things that you know about, strong military, strong police, all of that.

“I remember watching a Tory MP in the last election saying when Farage was talking about those things, ‘Oh my god, this is far-Right’. It’s not far-Right – the Conservatives, I believe, moved Left.”

Showing his support for Farage, Kyle attended Reform’s conference in Birmingham and interviewed supporters. And when Kyle was asked if he would run to be a Reform MP, he teased: “We’ll see.”

He also said: “Well, I would say this. For the first time in my life, I fervently […] I’m thinking about my I’m and my grandkids. I think this country is not at a precipice but at a crossroads or a turning point.

“We have spent years quite rightly in the United Kingdom doing everything for everybody, and quite rightly we should, we’re the moral leader, we’re But suddenly, whether it’s Covid or the cost of living crisis, people are going ‘food’s gone up.'”

Out of the 650 MPs in the House of Commons, Reform UK has five members.

As it stands, Reform leads Labour in the opinion polls by around 10 points, which is putting Farage in the running to become the UK’s next Prime Minister.
