Netflix is currently streaming a British drama that left audiences both weeping and roaring with laughter, and fans say you should watch it immediately.
The picture was directed by renowned filmmaker Mike Leigh, who has secured seven Academy Award nominations during his illustrious career.
If Leigh’s name rings a bell, you might remember him as the creator behind 1996’s comedic drama Secrets and Lies, which earned five Oscar nods in 1997.

Set in London, the plot follows the life of depressed woman Pansy and her bond with sister Chantelle, reports the Manchester Evening News.
The film stars Oscar-nominated Marianne Jean-Baptiste as the tormented protagonist, alongside Michele Austin as her sibling.
Both actresses earned acclaim for their portrayals, though Jean-Baptiste was hailed as a standout. Rotten Tomatoes critics awarded the movie an impressive 95% score and praised the 58-year-old film star.
