Super Bowl MVP winner to receive $13,000 chain

Under the bright lights of Super Bowl LX, where legacy and excess have always shared the same locker room, one diamond encrusted chain has decided that subtlety is overrated.

Nearly $13,000 worth of frozen bravado now hangs in the balance — a custom Super Bowl LX chain designed for the grand stage in Santa Clara, where the Seahawks and Patriots will collide with history on the line. The centerpiece is impossible to ignore: an 80mm-by-65mm Super Bowl LX logo pendant, flooded with 25MM diamonds, hand-set stone by stone, sitting on a prong Cuban chain built to flex.

Retailing at $12,500 before tax, the chain isn’t just merch. It’s a statement about who mattered when the final whistle blew.

GLD’s representatives told the California Post they plan to gift the piece directly to the Super Bowl LX MVP — a move that feels equal parts celebration and challenge. Win the biggest game on earth, and you don’t just get a ring. You get ice that tells the room you owned February.

Around Radio Row, a plastic knockoff version has been floating around the media personalities and celebrities alike, a reminder that everyone wants the look — but only one player will receive  the real thing.

Justin Jefferson. Jalen Hurts. Saquon Barkley. Travis Kelce. Patrick Mahomes, all love to wear ice around their necks. And then there’s Stefon Diggs — Patriots receiver, headline magnet, and serial chain-swinger — who might want that MVP hardware more than anyone breathing Bay Area air this week.

GLD isn’t stopping there. Seahawks and Patriots helmet chains, also iced with 25MM diamonds, are moving at $3,000 apiece.

In a Super Bowl defined by power, polish, and personality, GLD’s chain fits right. For like De Beers said, “diamonds are forever.”
