Amazon has slashed the price of a ‘stylish’ kettle with more than 8,000 five-star reviews, as shoppers hail it for ‘ticking all the boxes’. The Russell Hobbs Honeycomb Electric 1.7L Cordless Kettle is usually priced at £32.99, but now up for grabs for £22.99.

The device features fast boil technology that can heat a cup’s worth of water in 43 seconds and has internal cup indicators ensuring you only use the quantity of water you need. It also has a removable and washable anti-scale filter, paired with an effortless push-button lid and a ‘perfect pour spout’ designed to eliminate splashes and drips, reports Birmingham Live.

The modern honeycomb pattern is complemented by stainless steel highlights, which is sure to lend a dash of chic to any kitchen. Bargain hunters can score even bigger savings by snapping up the kettle bundled with a matching toaster, creating a stylish duo for £45.99, a hefty discount from the usual £65.98.

The Honeycomb Electric Cordless Kettle has achieved an impressive 4.5-star rating on Amazon, with more than 8,000 five-star reviews. One happy customer said: “Great value for money. This boils the water twice as fast as our previous kettle, lightweight and looks cute.”

Another said: “I’m absolutely thrilled with the Russell Hobbs Honeycomb Electric Kettle. It’s not only sleek and stylish, but it also performs incredibly well. The design with its unique honeycomb texture gives it a modern touch that looks fantastic in any kitchen. One of the standout features is the fast boil capability – it heats water up in no time. I’m also impressed by how the kettle stays cool to the touch. Even when it’s boiling hot, you don’t have to worry about burning your hands.”

A third thrilled buyer said: “This kettle has proved to be very reliable and efficient. It is used many times every day with no problems. It pours without spilling.”

Another customer said: “I always like to review something after one year has passed, and this kettle does the job every time. Didn’t lose performance after one year of daily use.”

Yet another satisfied customer commented: “Excellent piece of kit. I am one of those people who seem to get through kettles fairly regularly, or at least it feels like it, and I can say that this Russell Hobbs kettle ticks all my boxes, it’s well made, feels solid on the work surface, boils quickly and at a price that’s excellent for the quality. It’s easy to fill with the wide opening flip lid and also easy to assess how much you need for the job in hand (such as making a single cuppa) so easy to be green with energy usage and that is so important with todays spiralling energy costs. Highly recommended.”

While many have raved about the aesthetic appeal of the kettle, some customers have been left disappointed by what they feel is its less than stellar build quality. A dissatisfied reviewer mentioned: “This kettle looks so gorgeous and stylish, it’s just a shame the rest of it doesn’t live up to expectations. It feels very flimsy and plastic-like.”

If you’re seeking an alternative, Dunelm has a 1.7L Plastic Kettle for £13, with customers praising its speedy boiling time. Elsewhere, Argos is offering a steal on the Russell Hobbs Luna Quiet Boil Grey Jug Kettle, now £40 – that’s a hefty slash from the original £55.
