Stunning UK seaside village with ‘most beautiful’ secluded beach | UK | Travel

A gorgeous seaside village nestled on the Pembrokeshire coast has one of the ‘most beautiful’ secluded beaches you’re ever likely to come across. With many people planning an autumnal staycation, Stackpole in Wales should be on your radar, as there is so much to see and do.

The beautiful village has a sprawling estate, lily ponds that are a haven for wildlife, and plenty of independent tearooms and other places to eat. Whether you’re in the mood for a relaxing break or want to keep busy by exploring what the village has to offer, there’s truly something for everyone here. And there’s one spot that’s a real must-visit for anyone heading to Stackpole this autumn.

One of the biggest draws of this gorgeous seaside town is Barafundle Bay, a small yet beautiful beach with masses of golden sands surrounded by glittering waters.

It’s often been voted as one of the very best beaches in the UK, and has even been compared to those in the Caribbean. Backed by sand dunes and a ‘cool calm’ forest, it’s well worth a visit if you’re in the area – with the travel pros at UK Hidden Gems describing it as the ‘most beautiful’ secluded beach.

Fans of the bay on TripAdvisor have also been singing its praises, with one person writing: “Such a beautiful beach. Feels lovely and secluded. The weather wasn’t great but it was still beautiful. The walk there was also enjoyable.”

It’s only available via a walking trail, so keep this in mind if you decide to visit this autumn.

Aside from the beach, there’s so many other brilliant things to do in Stackpole that the whole family will love. Exploring the Stackpole Estate is a great way to spend an afternoon, and one of the most unique attractions here is the Bosherton lily ponds.

These tranquil bodies of water are surrounded by beautiful flowers and plants, and they’re also a haven for wildlife. You might even spot some otters swimming around here.

The walled garden is also a must-visit, with stunning Victorian greenhouses, walking trails, and a very popular tearoom. Cawdors is the perfect place to relax after your stroll, and whether you fancy a coffee, cake or a sandwich made from locally sourced ingredients, there’s something for everyone.

If you’re in need of something a little more filling, then the Stackpole Inn is the place to be. This award-winning gastropub boasts weekly changing specials that highlight the amazing local specialities, as well as a Sunday roast, salads, burgers, and impressive wine list too.

It’s the perfect place to enjoy a cosy drink or a meal to fuel your exploration of Stackpole. With plenty of accolades under its belt, such as Best Pub and Bar in Wales, Best Gastropub in Wales and the Best Food Experience in Pembrokeshire, you know it’s going to be good.

Fans on TripAdvisor have awarded it an impressive 4.4 stars out of five on average, with one person raving: “Always one of my all-time favourite places to go, whether that’s a drink, coffee, or food. The staff are so friendly and attentive. It’s warm and cosy after a windy, rainy hike along the coast. A post-hike pint is a must when I go to Stackpole and this inn accommodate for just that. I have visited many times now and it’s never been anything short of a lovely visit.”
