Storm Jocelyn LIVE: Britain braced for travel chaos as death toll of Storm Isha rises


Storm Jocelyn is anticipated to unleash its impact on Britain, with forecasts indicating the likelihood of widespread travel disruption across the country. The impending storm raises concerns about potential chaos in transportation systems across the affected regions.

Storm Jocelyn has been named by Met Éireann and is expected to bring robust winds and substantial rainfall to the UK on Tuesday and continuing into Wednesday.

The storm season commenced with Agnes, which delivered heavy rain and gusts of 70mph to the UK in late September. Subsequently, storms Babet, Ciarán, Debi, Elin, Fergus, Gerrit, Henk, and Isha followed.

The damaging gusts and heavy rains are likely to impact the day-to-day functioning of the commuters who faced a tough time on Monday in the aftermath of Storm Isha. Storm Isha wreaked havoc across the UK, resulting in two fatalities and leaving tens of thousands without power, as gusts reached as high as 107mph.

In Grangemouth, Scotland, an 84-year-old man lost his life when a car, in which he was a passenger, collided with a fallen tree on the A905 around 11:45 pm on Sunday, according to Police Scotland.

Meanwhile, in Limavady, Northern Ireland, a man in his 60s died in a road collision involving two vans and a fallen tree at approximately 9:45 pm on Sunday.
