There’s nothing more frustrating than reaching for some tin foil and finding the sheet sticks to itself – a problem we’ve all encountered.
Often our tin foil refuses to let go of itself, resulting in a tear that keeps unravelling in short strips. This issue is one you could do without when all you need is a quick sheet of foil to line a tray.
Some people get so frustrated that they end up discarding the entire roll and purchasing another.
People claim they have spent decades trying to solve this, until recently when a hack went viral. It is bound to save you thousands of pounds and lots of time.
On Instagram, @robbiebell8 said: “This will save you thousands over a lifetime I reckon. Shown to me @shaunhurrell 20 years ago, I’m at least $257 [£204] already.”
He demonstrated in a video clip how to obtain a whole sheet. He insists you must tear off a small piece of foil and scrunch it into a ball.
Rub the small ball onto the side on the roll, where it has broken apart. Rub until the small bits fall off and you are left with one long line. Pull, and you should have a full sheet of tin foil. The simple hack has left people amazed.
“The amount of rolls I’ve tossed out in anger,” confessed one. Another said: “Omg! I’m not sure how many bloody rolls of foil I’ve thrown away because of this. But now…thank you! ” Another hailed the trick as “genius” and one other labelled it as “brilliant”.
“Almost want this to happen to my foil again just so I can try this,” added another.
“The way I want to go psycho on the last person that left the foil like that in my house,” one person exclaimed. “Wow the amount I’ve thrown out,” added another.
“Wow flabbergasted,” a third user declared. “Hallelujah, will try this thanks,” another individual gratefully added.
