Mallorca is a popular Spanish hotspot, but there is somewhere else in Spain that offers an affordable family resort that is perfect for kids. Everyone likes to go on holiday, but it is harder for those with children as they need to find a destination that suits adults, as well as kids. The price is another factor to consider as some resorts are expensive. Many people will be getting their travel plans ready for summer and Spain is a top choice for Brits. Magic Natura in Benidorm has been highlighted for having plenty of child-friendly facilities and providing a family-friendly holiday that doesn’t break the bank.
It is a water park and zoo resort with two main swimming pools catered for children, and it includes access to the Aqua Natura Waterpark that has a range of pools, chutes and slides. Kirsty Gladden, a 24-year-old mum from Essex, shared a video on TikTok discussing her stay at Magic Natura.
She said: “Can you believe this family resort is only two hours from the UK? It’s not going to break your bank if you decide to book.
“If you’re looking for a cheap family holiday then keep watching. This is Magic Natura in Benidorm which is a water park and a zoo resort.”
Kirsty advised not to stay in a hotel and stay in one of the resort’s private lodges instead. She added there is the opportunity to swim with sea lions at an extra charge and mentioned that the zoo houses hundreds of animals.
There’s also evening entertainment every night, including shows, karaoke, quiz nights and they all “get the children really, really involved”, according to Kirsty. The Essex mum added: “As well as evening entertainment, there are also things going on throughout the day, such as foam parties, bingo, darts, mini disco and even a circus show.
“At this resort there’s an option to be all inclusive or ultra all inclusive which means you get food, drinks, snacks all included but with the ultra you get restaurants included, pizza delivery and also shows.”
Magic Natura further has a games room free of charge for older children, and Kirsty noted that it is a 10-minute drive from the beach, but there is a free bus service that allows you to spend the day there.
She then revealed the cost of her holiday: “For two adults [and] one child nine days we paid less than £2,000.” The Magic Natura website states the resort combines nature and animals with adrenaline from the water park and it has “unique Polynesian-themed lodging.”
Kirsty’s TikTok video has garnered 834,200 views, 36,700 likes and more than 700 comments to date. One user said: “So basically Spanish Butlins, I’m down.”
Another added: “Me and wife are taking our 5 kids back here in October it’s absolutely amazing.” However someone else warned: “Definitely has its pros and cons – not budget resort if you go in summer holidays, we paid £3k 2a 2c (two adults, two children) last year, but other families had paid in excess of £8k which it definitely isn’t worth!”
Kirsty responded to this comment: “That’s crazy! we booked out of season which made it a lot cheaper, I personally wouldn’t go here high season.”
