SteelSeries Arctis Nova Elite is ultimate luxury headset – just don't look at price tag

SteelSeries is back with a brand new luxury headset that’s available just in time for Christmas.

The ambitious new Arctis Nova Elite is a premium gaming headset with an emphasis on the word premium.

Designed with hardcore gamers and streamers in mind, the device is jam-packed with high-end features, such as multi-source mixing that lets users connect up to four sources at once.

The biggest drawback is the whopping £599 price tag, which means the Arctis Nova Elite certainly won’t be for everyone.

If you’re interested in purchasing the Arctis Nova Elite headset, then you can pick one up from the SteelSeries website.

There are two different models available, including a stylish Obsidian version, or the showier Sage and Gold variant.

SteelSeries is attempting to justify the high price point by including a selection of premium features not found in any rival headsets.

The Arctis Nova Elite is said to be the first Hi-Res Wireless Certified headset for gaming, supporting 24-Bit/96KHz transmission over 2.4GHz and Bluetooth.

This is actually beyond the capabilities of the PS5 and Xbox Series X|S, but is supported by certain models of PC. This makes the Arctis Nova Elite somewhat future-proof.

The Arctis Nova Elite also feature custom 40mm Carbon Fiber Speaker Drivers, which are capable of reproducing frequencies from 10Hz to 40kHz.

The headset is also said to feature the best ANC (active noise cancellation) of any gaming headset. This actually makes them a good choice for day-to-day use, especially for air travel.

The headset comes with a separate GameHub sound mixer, which is key to its ability to support four inputs simultaneously.

This makes it ideal for switching between PC, console and smartphones for the ultimate in multitasking.

Another neat feature is the inclusion of two microphones that auto-switch when you retract the main mic. Again, this makes them great for day-to-day use.

You’ve also got two separate batteries to ensure you never run out of juice. The spare battery charges in the Gamehub when not in use, which should guarantee unbroken audio regardless of how long you’re playing.

It all sounds somewhat excessive, but that’s kind of the point. It’s for the sort of gamer that’s spent thousands on their gaming set-up and wants the audio to match the visual experience.

Expect a review soon, but in the meantime, check out the SteelSeries Arctis Nova Elite on the official website, where they’re available for £599.
