An email, of all things, was what sparked LA Sparks’ Cameron Brink‘s romance with her now-fiancé.
In a post on her TikTok page last Friday, the WNBA star revealed she and Ben Felter began dating several years ago after he shot her an “Attempting to mingle” note through Outlook.
“Hey Cameron,” Felter wrote in a screen grab of the message that Brink posted. “Wanted to chat you up but I think dms are a bit creepy. Not that an email is much better, so here is my number.”
Brink wrote in a caption on the picture, “I love that outlook brought us together lolol.”
The two were students at Stanford at the time Felter penned his email love note — she was a member of the women’s basketball team; he was a Cardinal rower.
They’ve now been dating for several years, and in September 2024, they officially got engaged.
Brink has made her love known for Felter throughout their time together, including in January, when she wished him a happy birthday on her Instagram page.
“You are my reason,” she said in the post, “& I love you more than life itself.”
A date for their impending nuptials has not been announced, though Brink told People earlier this year they’re planning to eventually tie the knot at Stanford’s Memorial Church.
