End-of-year celebrations are reaching fever pitch as folks around the UK brace for New Year’s Eve festivities.

Whether opting for a cosy night at home or dancing till dawn, being party-ready is key.

For those seeking a fuss-free sweet treat that can be left to prepare itself throughout the day, Nate Anthony, also known as Bored of Lunch, has you sorted.

His recent food video series is laden with tips to spice up your festive feasts, with handy appliances taking centre stage.

The trusty slow cooker os perfect for an array of dishes, including tantalising desserts.

In a viral TikTok from November, Nate unveils what could be the “world’s biggest chocolate fondant,” with a twist of seasonal Terry’s Chocolate Orange, and it only calls for six simple ingredients.

He said: “This is probably the world’s biggest chocolate fondant, made in the slow cooker with only six ingredients, and I used Terry’s as well because… it’s Christmas, why not?”

According to Nate, this recipe is so straightforward, even novices can nail it. His video has tantalised taste buds and amassed a staggering 2.3 million views, MirrorOnline.

Among the comments, Yoldana said: “Oh baby lol.”

Debi wrote: “But what are the rest of my guests going to have????”

Another fan said “I have been summoned,” by the desert, while Dee added: “I made this immediately. It was so good I had to order your book. 10/10 marketing win.”

And another said: “Omg this looks unreal! I bet it’s lovely with mint chocolate as an after dinner thingy.”

If you’re in the hunt for a delectable and festive chocolate dessert that’ll impress at your New Year’s Eve bash, here’s what to whip up.

Slow Cooker Terry’s Chocolate Fondant

Ingredients

  • 100g butter, softened
  • 300g soft light brown sugar
  • Four eggs, beaten
  • 250g self raising flour
  • 20g cocoa powder
  • One Terry’s Chocolate Orange Ball (157g)

Method

Firstly, grease your slow cooker with some butter. Sift your flour and cocoa powder into a large bowl, and add 150g of your brown sugar, four eggs and 100g melted butter.

Mix using whisk until well combined. Add three to four tablespoons of water to help loosen the consistency.

Transfer the mixture to the slow cooker and add 100g of Terry’s chocolate orange pieces inside the mixture. Melt the remaining 57g of chocolate and mix with the remaining 150g of sugar and 275ml of boiling water in a jug.

Pour the chocolate liquid all over the cake, cover the slow cooker with a clean tea towel and place on the lid, then cook on high for two hours or on low for four to five hours.

You can add more Terry’s Chocolate Orange for decoration. Serve hot (and with ice cream!)
