Sinister trailer for WWII thriller with all-star cast has film fans all saying same thing

Movie buffs have been getting chills over the first-look trailer at an upcoming World War II film that looks unmissable.

Featuring an all-star cast of British and Hollywood talent, this eye-opening thriller will explore one of the most crucial moments just after the war like never before.

No Time to Die and Oppenheimer star Rami Malek will portray American psychiatrist Douglas Kelley in Sky Original film Nuremberg, the man tasked with assessing one of Adolf Hitler’s most trusted allies in the Nazi Party.

Ahead of the decisive Nuremberg Trials, Kelley was assigned to determine the mental fitness of the most high-ranking Nazis before they could take place.

Gladiator star Russell Crowe steps into the role of Hermann Göring, the Nazi’s military leader and Hitler’s closest confidant.

A synopsis for the historical drama reads: “The film unfolds as a gripping cat-and-mouse drama.

“Nuremberg features a stellar ensemble cast, including Michael Shannon, Richard E. Grant, and Leo Woodall as translator Howard Triest.

“Set in the shadow of the unimaginable crimes committed during the war, Nuremberg explores the human mind at its most chilling and complex.”

Fans will no doubt be particularly excited to see One Day star Woodall step into his most challenging role yet, looking worlds away from his swoon-worthy rom-com role.

Ahead of Nuremberg’s release in UK cinemas this November, movie fans have been sharing their thoughts with one aspect of the film in particular standing out.

“I never thought I will see Russell ‘Maximus’ Crowe as Hermann Göring,” one YouTube user commented.

“But here we go. Packed with great actors. I put on my watchlist 4 sure.”

Someone else replied: “What a great cast, and original storyline. Looking forward to it.”

“So many excellent actors, it’s going to be awesome,” a third replied. “This is how movies should be made.”

“Cast and cinematography look stunning,” another agreed.

The conversation continued on Reddit, though some users there weren’t quite as impressed with the new trailer.

“I can’t think of anything worse that a bombastic movie about the Nuremberg trial featuring Russell Crowe butchering another accent,” one scathing comment read. “Jesus what the hell was this trailer? Bwaaaaaah.”

And another commented: “This trailer kinda sucks lol I know it’s a teaser but is it really going to have this weird a** style with that subject matter?”

Though they also had to admit: “Very interesting cast though.”

Is Nuremberg on your radar or is this one WWII drama you’ll be giving a miss?

Nuremberg will be released in UK cinemas on 14th November, 2025.
