Simple reason Meghan Markle’s wine hasn’t sold out spotted in new statement | Royal | News

Meghan Markle has explained the simple reason her 2024 Napa Valley rosé wine has not yet sold out, despite her last wine release selling out in under 60 minutes. Meghan launched the new beverage on her As Ever brand’s website on Tuesday, 5 August, with fans expecting an instant sell-out, yet again.

On the brand’s Instagram story, Meghan explained the reason behind the current availability, writing: “We made so much more this time round, and yet it’s still going fast! Don’t miss out”, referencing a possible increase in the quantities made compared to the previous batch of wine sold. The As Ever brand appeared to explain the non-sell out by posting the video on its social media page of a bottle of the rosé being poured into a branded glass.

The new wine has the exact same price point as the previous batch, and is available in batches of three, six and 12, with each bottle costing £22 ($30) and sold at £66 ($90), £116 ($159) and £218 ($300) respectively.

Meghan also celebrated the launch with a video on Instagram of her uncorking a bottle marked ‘Bottle #1’ to toast to her achievements.

Alongside the clip, she wrote: “Here we go! First bottle off the line! Toasting to a beautiful day: Our Napa rose is live @aseverofficial.”

Just minutes before the product launched on the website, a post on the company’s Instagram showed corks branded with the As Ever logo, with a caption reading: “C’est l’heure. Enjoy your last sips of summer with the newest vintage of our beloved Napa Valley rose.”

The pale pink wine, which comes in a clear bottle with a white, gold-rimmed label, has an ABV (alcohol by volume) of 13.5% – one percent lower than its predecessor.

Fans have noted the products are still available on the brand’s website and commented on the surplus. One wrote: “Meghan Markle has again shot herself in the foot. Her wine has yet to sell out. Perhaps she’s filled her stocks correctly or her product isn’t moving like last time.”

Another social media user on X wrote: “Many hours later, none of Meghan Markle’s wine has sold out!”

Alongside celebrating the launch, Meghan posted a belated Instagram post following her 44th birthday on Monday, and Meghan said she was “blowing out the candles on a beautiful 24 hours” and thanked her husband, friends and family for “making it so special”.

On Wednesday, her brand also uploaded a new picture on Instagram showing her latest creation, featuring ice lollies made with the new wine and raspberries.

It was captioned: “What’s better than a glass of rosé on a sunny day? Rosé popsicles perchance? Yes, please, and thank you. Shop our newest Napa Valley summer favourite while supplies last.”
