The Simba Hybrid Ultra is one of the brand’s most premium mattresses, and as such, it comes with a hefty price tag of up to £2,999 (for the king-size option). It’s certainly an investment, but having been sleeping on the Ultra for almost two years now, I can vouch that it’s worth considering if your current mattress is nearing the end of its life. This is especially true now, thanks to Simba’s latest sale.
Simba has discounted mattresses by 20% as part of its Easter sale, and the Simba Hybrid Ultra is included. If you opt for a king-size version (the one I have), you can save £599.80, which takes the mattress from £1,899 to £1481.22. The double mattress is discounted by £615.78 (down from £2,799 to £2,183.22), and single mattresses are discounted by £417.78 (down from £1,899 to £1,481.22).
I made the swap from my well-loved IKEA mattress to a Simba Hybrid Ultra around two years ago and couldn’t quite believe the difference it made to my back. Our old mattress had been with us for close to 10 years, and given that expert advice is to change your mattress every six to eight years, it was well in need of an upgrade.
I’m quite an active person, and I had thought my back niggles were a combination of exercise and working at a computer all day. I didn’t think that my mattress could alleviate some of the problems I was experiencing. The mattress is firm enough to offer excellent ergonomic support, sufficient for my back to be thankful within just a few days – something the brand accredits to PureLift Ergonomic Support technology. This techy language basically means an accumulation of layers which can mould to your body to provide support exactly where you need it.
The mattress is made up of 13 layers for further support. Generally, it’s a mix of foam and spring sections, hence the hybrid name, but with some added technology to aid support and temperature control. If you’re upgrading from a traditional coiled spring mattress, the SIMBA Hybrid Ultra will likely feel pretty firm in comparison, but that’s not to say there is no bounce.
Of course, the Simba Hybrid Ultra is the most expensive in the Simba mattress range, but as part of the sale, all other mattresses are discounted, too. This includes the Essential, Hybrid, Pro and Luxe. If you do want to make the most of the sale, it’s worth noting that it only runs until April 21, 2025.
We’ve rounded up some of the deals and discounts below – but you can view the entire sale on the Simba website here.
