Watch the shocking moment a group of hooded thieves stormed a California indie bookstore in the early hours of Sunday, forcing the owner into a tough choice.
The break-in took place at Seat at the Table Books on the 9000 block of Laguna Springs Drive in Elk Grove.

The Sacramento bookstore shared a video of the 5 a.m. incident on social media, showing two suspects grab the cash drawer and the computer monitor before making a run for it.
The caption under the video read:
“Nothing like waking up to an alarm alert because someone is stealing your cash boxes and trashing your back office looking for easy grabs. What kind of person decides to hit an INDIE BOOKSTORE?
Since these jerks decided to help themselves to whatever they want, we need your support today! We’ll say thank you with a free small coffee if you ask.”
An employee told KCRA the suspects entered by accessing a lockbox outside the business that contained a key — adding that the burglars ransacked the store and damaged the desk where the main computer was kept.

The store’s owner said they would only accept card payments or exact cash while the register is being replaced, reported KCRA.
A Seat at the Table Books is reportedly one of several local businesses that have been burglarized in recent weeks.
