SAN FRANCISCO — Shaquille O’Neal’s DJ set at his Super Bowl party on Friday night turned up a near-capacity crowd to another level.
The Lakers legend put on his annual Shaq’s Fun House event at Cow Palace, and working as DJ Diesel, he helped kick off the festivities with an hour-long performance.
Hundreds packed the arena as O’Neal spun hit after hit after hit, and at times, he encouraged them to “break the rail” that separated them from his stage.
He also sent partygoers into a frenzy when he promised to head down into the audience if a mosh pit got rowdy enough.
Several of O’Neal’s celebrity friends stopped by for the bash, including Guy Fieri, former NFL stars Adrian Peterson and Rob Gronkowski, rapper T.I., country music artist Kane Brown and “Bachelor” alum Matt James.
Following O’Neal, T-Pain, Disco Lines and Tiesto also took turns on the ones and twos.
Each played for about an hour. In between sets, an emcee asked fans to show support for the Seahawks and Patriots, who will play in Super Bowl LX on Sunday at Levi’s Stadium.
