If there was a God Rachel Wardell, Surrey’s children’s social services boss, would already have been sacked. She’d also have been stripped of the OBE she was given this year for her “services to children’s social care” which now seems like a sick joke.
How dare people like Wardell whose job it is to protect little mites like Sara – battered to death at the hands her evil father Urfan Sharif – talk now about how awful her death is, how she shares in the horror of what happened to her when she has absolutely no bloody idea of the Hell this little girl endured.
She trots out this rubbish believing she’s shown the necessary sympathy and claims to understand what Sara went through. Then she appears to cover her own backside saying she can’t say much more until the safeguarding review is complete.
To Hell with the Safeguarding Review – we don’t need some waffling long winded report to tell what we already know – that Sara Sharif was let down by everyone who was supposed to protect her form the animal that is her father.
Sara’s Father Urfan Sharif and her wicked stepmother, Benash Batool, were jailed for life this week. And Wardell’s response: “We share in the profound horror at the terrible details that have emerged during the trial. We cannot begin to comprehend the suffering that poor Sara endured at the hands of member of her family.”
Well here’s the thing Rachel – you WOULD have comprehended if you and the people who work for you had done your jobs properly. You’d have seen some, or all of the 70 injuries on Sarah’s battered body, the 25 fractures, her bashed in head that had the monster Sharif smashed with a metal pole and a cricket bat.
And maybe when your social workers investigated Sara’s case, they should have spent more than six days looking at her Hellish life before closing the case.
“We are resolute in our commitment to protecting children,” says Wardell who should be sacked, immediately.
This woman was even awarded an OBE this year. That too must be taken from her because this woman deserves no honours.
I hope Wardell and all the others who failed Sara are haunted forever by the gruesome, details of her death. I hope her beautiful face haunts their nightmares. But even that isn’t enough. Because they have the luxury of being alive. Sara Sharif does not!
