Sean Dyche is poised to make a surprise appearance on tonight’s Celebs Go Dating episode. The former Everton FC boss will feature on Thursday evening’s E4 dating show to lend support to Kerry Katona.
The ex-Atomic Kitten star is amongst the celebrities seeking romance this series.
Wednesday’s instalment witnessed both her and S Club vocalist Jon Lee endure an awkward double date.
In a bid to remedy her romantic struggles, Kerry enlists the assistance of the former Toffees manager.
Dyche’s cameo was revealed in tonight’s preview, airing at 9pm, showing the 54 year old arriving for Kerry’s rendezvous.
Upon clocking Kerry’s companion, the manager quipped: “You’re dating these northerners now, are you?”.
Show narrator Rob Beckett expressed bewilderment at Dyche’s unexpected reality TV stint, exclaiming: “What the f**k is going on?”.
Dyche, who is wed to Jane and fathers two children, assumed control at Everton in 2023, steering the Blues to Premier League survival following a nail-biting final day victory against Bournemouth.
His Goodison Park tenure ended mid-season when David Moyes replaced him.
Kerry joined Celebs Go Dating following her separation from fiancé Ryan Mahoney, concluding their six-year relationship.
Writing in her OK! column last November, Kerry revealed: “Last week I spoke about how Ryan and I were having a tough time and now he has moved out of the house.
“We are no longer together and it’s been a really tough week – I never in a million years thought this would happen. Without going into too much detail, there has been a breach of trust between us.
“I don’t know if we’ll be able to work it out or not, but I do still love him so much. I feel like everything has heaped on recently and it’s so much to deal with, I am really struggling.
“But I know I can get through it no matter what happens, I’ve been through break-ups before and come out the other side, so we just need to see what happens.”
Joining Kerry and Jon in this season’s Celebs Go Dating line-up are Christine McGuinness, Louis Russell, Olivia Hawkins and Mark Labbett.
The cast are guided in their quest for love by experts Anna Williamson, Paul Carrick Brunson, and Dr. Tara Suwinyattichaiporn.
Kerry, who previously graced the dating show in 2019, expressed her excitement about her return prior to the season’s start.
She shared: “I’m so excited to be back at the agency. At the moment, I am just learning who I am. I always seem to change my whole persona for whoever I am with for their needs instead of prioritising my own.
“I can’t wait to see Anna and Paul again and get to meet Dr Tara, and see what they have in store for me.”
The romantic escapades continue in Celebs Go Dating at 9pm tonight on E4.
