A video shared by the Duchess of York shows her narrowly avoiding slipping on a bench in the Windsor Estate as she delivered a heartfelt message on New Year’s Eve about mindfulness.

Fergie took to Instagram with a new video accompanied by the late Queen Elizabeth II’s corgis, Sandy and Muick.

Reflecting on 2024 and delivering a message to fans, Fergie proceeded to sit down on an old bench that looked worn out and that was covered in moss.

She said: “I’m taking you here with me today and we’re sitting on this bench.”

But as Sarah began to sit down, the bench wobbled and she let out a short shriek “Ooh!” before saying, “Yes we are sitting on the bench!” as she regains her balance.

Despite the near mishap, Fergie followed her emotional message by deciding to sit on the chosen bench in silence to reflect.

The caption of her video post read: “As we reflect on the year gone by and the one that lies ahead, I know 2024 has been a challenging time for many.

“In my life, I was diagnosed with skin cancer and breast cancer. I’m not ashamed to say that it’s been tough. Sometimes, all of us are overwhelmed by loneliness, anxiety, or sleeplessness. So this year, I decided to seek out tools that can help with healthfulness, wellness, and peacefulness.

“That’s why I’m excited to be partnering with @zoul.meditate, a new meditation, wellness, and sleep app. In those times when I needed a simple reminder that “everything will be okay”.

Sarah then goes on to describe the app, describe its tools, and how she believes it supports communities facing mental health challenges.

The former couple remain close and celebrated Christmas at the property alone this year, after Andrew’s alleged association with an alleged Chinese spy. Following the allegations, Yang Tengbo denied claims he is a spy and Andrew’s office confirmed that the duke ceased all contact with him after concerns were raised.

However, the friendship left Prince Andrew at the centre of the scandal, resulting in the duke’s decision to withdraw from public events and Christmas with the King at Sandringham.

Their eldest daughter, however, Princess Beatrice, joined King Charles and the wider Royal Family at Sandringham for the festivities. Meanwhile, Princess Eugenie, 34, celebrated the festive season with her husband Jack Brooksbank and his family.
