Now that we’ve had a few days to think about both sides of Super Bowl 2026, we can look past the game itself and focus on other markets.
There’s a long stretch before the Seahawks and Patriots actually run out onto the field at Levi’s Stadium, but sportsbooks have already put out a ton of markets, including Super Bowl MVP odds.
FanDuel has odds for 92 players to win Super MVP, but barring something unpredictable, the names at the top are the ones capturing attention.
Super Bowl 2026 MVP odds
| Player | Super Bowl MVP odds |
|---|---|
| Sam Darnold | +110 |
| Drake Maye | +230 |
| Jaxson Smith-Njigba | +600 |
| Kenneth Walker III | +850 |
| Rhamondre Stevenson | 30/1 |
| Stefon Diggs | 45/1 |
| Rashid Shaheed | 50/1 |
| All other options | 100/1 or longer |

Sam Darnold opened as the favorite to win MVP, and with good reason. Darnold has played so well in his two games that one might easily forget that he suffered an oblique injury before the Divisional Round that could have derailed Seattle’s title hopes.
Betting on the NFL?
Drake Maye hasn’t put up the elite numbers that he did during the regular season — he hasn’t even come close. The Patriots have won thanks to their defense, but quarterbacks have won 34 of the 60 Super Bowl MVP awards.
Jaxon Smith-Njigba’s odds intrigue me most. He’s third on the board at +600 and arguably the most explosive player who will touch the field in Santa Clara. Smith-Njigba, the league’s leading receiver, pulled down 10 catches for 153 yards in the NFC Championship game. He’s a threat for a big play on nearly every down and has the best chance to make a big signature play in the game.
Wide receivers have won Super Bowl MVP nine times, most recently Cooper Kupp in 2022. I think Smith-Njigba is worth a bet at his current odds if you want to bet other than the two quarterbacks.
