Sainsbury's forced to cancel 'vast majority' of weekend food deliveries

Sainsbury’s customers have been left in the lurch by the supermarket after it was struck by technical issues.

The grocery giant said it will not be able to send the “vast majority” of deliveries today, Saturday, March 16, as a result.

Shoppers have reached out to the supermarket on social media to report issues with their online orders.

Some physical stores have also been affected by the issues, prompting Sainsbury’s to release an apology to customers on X, formerly Twitter.

It said: “We’re experiencing technical issues affecting some stores, our groceries online service and our ability to contact customers.”
