Rushton fire: Police launch probe as three people die in ‘inferno’ | UK | News

Police have launched an investigation after three people died in a house fire in Rushton, near Kettering.  Emergency services were scrambled after an emergency call at 10.30pm on Friday, and police, fire and paramedics rushed to the property in Beswick Close.

Despite the best efforts of the emergency services, three people were later confirmed to have died. Three police officers later required hospital assessment due to smoke inhalation. A police spokesman said: “Northamptonshire Police and Northamptonshire Fire and Rescue Service are conducting an investigation into the cause of the fire.”

Anyone with information is being asked to call Northamptonshire Police on 101, quoting incident reference 25000180391.

Road closures remain in place on Saturday morning in Station Road between Desborough Road and Oakley Road, including roads off Station Road, with people asked to continue to avoid the area.
