Excitement is building up for royal fans ahead of Princess Kate’s ‘Together at Christmas’ carol service at Westminster Abbey, as the Prince and Princess of Wales release another video to mark the occasion.
On social media, the royals published a video to show that invites had been posted to the 1,600 guests with a personal and highly emotional message written for the first time by Kate.
Alongside the video which shows invites being posted into a red letter box, the caption read: “Bringing together inspiring people from across the UK, @wabbey will be filled with 1,600 people who have supported others in their communities, whether on a personal level with friends and family, through their work or as they selflessly give up their time through volunteering.”
Fans have been quick to express their excitement ahead of the service. One fan wrote: “The ‘Together at Christmas Carol Service’ event is truly creating great excitement! These special moments, where communities come together and support one another, celebrate love and solidarity in the most beautiful way.”
Another fan, addressing Princess Kate, added: “So wonderful you do this every year.”
A royal lover also added: “Aww, this is so exciting and these little videos are so cute! I can’t wait for Friday when The Queen of Christmas returns.”
Some fans embraced the positivity surrounding the event: “Exciting! Should be another great event. Thanks for this positivity. Something more to look forward to.”
Another added: “How exciting! Can’t wait for the most magical event of the year!”
Princess Kate’s Together At Christmas Carol service, launched in 2021, will take place at Westminster Abbey on Friday, December 6, this year, with the princess and other members of the Royal Family expected to attend.
It will mark a significant milestone for the future Queen, who’s easing herself into royal life after a challenging year following her cancer diagnosis back in March.
Each of the guests will receive a special letter from Kate alongside their Order of Service. In the letter, the future Queen thanks each and every one of her guests for all they have done to provide comfort and hope to those who need it the most and also reflects on the importance of love, empathy and how much we need each other in spite of our differences.
Meanwhile, Kensington Palace issued a new update on next week’s festive event with more details on what the evening will include.
Upon arrival, guests will be greeted by music from young performers, including a 25-piece steel pan band and jazz ensemble from Restore the Music, a nationwide charity funding music education for young people.
This year’s service will also feature performances by music stars like Paloma Faith, Olivia Dean and Gregory Porter and a specially curated performance by two soloists from The Royal Ballet and students from The Royal Ballet School.
It will also feature readings linked to the theme of love and empathy which will be delivered by speakers including Prince William, Olympian Adam Peaty OBE, Sophie Okonedo CBE, Michelle Dockery and Richard E. Grant.
The event, which is supported by The Royal Foundation, will be filmed and broadcast as part of a special programme on ITV1 and ITVX on Christmas Eve.
