Royal fans are convinced Princess Kate’s luscious locks have returned to brunette from blonde, but also claim the choice of styling could be affecting her hair colour. A ‘new’ colour on Kate was spotted by during her latest outing at the Women’s Rugby World Cup match between England and Australia last week, on September 6.
Kate is a patron of the Rugby Football Union in England and witnessed a historic win against Australia at the weekend. For the match, Kate’s long hair was transformed into a stylish updo, which made some fans think her hair looked different from that of her engagement last week at the Natural History Museum, when her shiny blonde locks were showing.
One social media user wrote: “I heard comments that Catherine darkened her hair due to public backlash but if you look closely it is still as blonde in the back and still appears the same. She pulled it away from her face and everyone loves it.”
Other fans claimed her brunette locks were more apparent with her hair tied up. A social media user on X wrote: “When she pulled her hair away from her face, the natural brunette was there, as always!!!!”
An X user commented: “HRH Catherine, Princess of Wales, is so beautiful, she can wear whatever hair colour she wants.”
Another wrote: “I love Catherine’s hair pulled back like this no matter what colour she chooses to have it. I love to be able to see her full face, she is so beautiful.”
Kate and William both made their joint return to royal duties last week on September 4, after stepping away from the public eye for about seven weeks amid the Royal Family’s summer break.
The Prince and Princess of Wales, alongside their three children, also visited Balmoral Castle in Scotland, where the royals traditionally retreat in August.
The Wales family are set for a change and will be moving into Forest Lodge, an eight-bedroom property in Windsor Great Park, with their children George, Charlotte and Louis later this year.
The family have been living in Adelaide Cottage in the castle grounds since August 2022 but after a challenging 18 months that has seen the princess deal with a cancer diagnosis and treatment they have now decided to make a change.
A royal source told the BBC: “Windsor has become their home. However, over the last few years while they have lived at Adelaide Cottage there have been some really difficult times. Moving gives them an opportunity for a fresh start and a new chapter.
“It’s an opportunity to leave some of the more unhappy memories behind.”
The Prince and Princess of Wales are funding the move privately.
