Royal fans all issue the same complaint about Angela Rayner’s outfit after she clashed with the Princess of Wales. Joining members of the Royal Family, including King Charles and Queen Camilla, political leaders and household name celebrities, Angela looked almost identical to Kate in a bright red look. Princess Kate stepped out in a recycled red Catherine Walker coat dress with bow detail. The royal, 43, wore the same coat to host a Christmas carol concert in 2021.

She paired the look with a matching pillbox hat by Gina Foster, a Miu Miu clutch and red Gianvito Rossi stilettos. Kate finished the look with drop-pearl earrings and a three-strand pearl and diamond choker necklace – a previous firm favourite of the late Queen and Princess Diana. Taking to X, formerly known as Twitter, royal fans couldn’t but pick up on the fact that Angela clashed with Kate – who is often known as one of the most popular members of the Royal Family.

One royal fan wrote: “She showed Angela Rayner how to wear red!”

Another commented: “Princess Kate looked a million times better than Angela Rayner.”

Clearly loving Kate’s red moment, one fan commented: “Wow, wow, wow. I really think red is her colour.”

Alongside a video of Kate and William’s arrival at Westminster Abbey, another wrote: “Princess Catherine Stuns in Red as She Arrives at Westminster Abbey with Prince William.”

King Charles and Queen Camilla joined a total of 2,000 guests from all over the Commonwealth to hear music and poetry.

In his Commonwealth Day message, which was printed in the programme, the King paid tribute to the “untold sacrifice and selflessness” of Commonwealth forces who answered the call to fight with Britain and its allies in the Second World War.

The King, who is head of the Commonwealth, gave an annual address to the family of 56 nations. The King was not in attendance at last year’s service due to cancer treatment. He, instead, pre-recorded a video message.
