Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have been ripped apart by a savage two-word dig over the name of their daughter Princess Lilibet by Kevin O’Sullivan. Speaking on TalkTV Mr O’Sullivan said what the pair had done was “extremely tacky”.
He explained: “They were trying to act like ‘Oh look. We’re still in the Royal Family, we’re very much part of it, in fact, the Queen loves this’. They did this of their own volition. Unilaterally the Queen didn’t know about it and then they tried to threaten newspapers and the BBC with legal action when they suggested the Queen wouldn’t like this. It struck me right from the word go that that was extremely tacky and you know that the Queen wouldn’t like it.”
Mr O’Sullivan’s comments came days after it was reported that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex sent legal threats after reports that they did not seek permission to use the late Queen’s childhood nickname for their daughter. What’s more, insiders claim the Queen was upset about the couple’s name choice.
