Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have “failed hard” in most of their business pursuits this year, according to a leading royal commentator in a withering assessment. Kinsey Schofield branded 2023 the “worst year of their professional lives”, despite enjoying a few commercial successes.
She told GB News: “I think that this has been professionally the worst year of Harry and Meghan’s lives”.
Referencing the release of a Christmas video from the Sussexes, Ms Schofield added: “This is not a video they typically release around this time. They usually release this video in January of a recap of everything they’ve done.
“I think they’re trying to distract from the fact that everybody is recognising that they failed hard this year and they don’t want to move into 2024 with this stamp of losers on their foreheads.”
Prince Harry’s tell-all memoir Spare became the fastest-selling nonfiction book of all time, while the couple’s Archewell’s foundation earned $1.2 million donations, but that’s down from $9 million in 2021.
Despite their financial success, the pair were dubbed the “biggest losers” of 2023 in the Hollywood Reporter.
