Meghan Markle’s “problem” is she has pursued celebrity and has to keep reinventing herself to maintain media attention, a royal commentator has claimed. Royal biographer Hugo Vickers was taking part in a discussion about the Duchess of Sussex’s ventures on The Sun’s Royal Exclusive show.
Asked if he was surprised the Duchess had pursued business as a career option, the royal commentator said: “Nothing surprises me, and I mean, she’s said something about broadening out and coming out of the kitchen and into the drawing room or something. I don’t know what she’s going to do next. Endless things. The problem with her is that she’s gone down this celebrity route, taking Prince Harry with her. Celebrities have to keep reinventing themselves the whole time to keep in front of the media.
“I predict that at some point the world will actually get bored with Meghan Markle, because she’s not going to come out with anything new. Eventually, she’ll run out of new things to come out with. Then the world can get on with more interesting things.” Mr Vickers’ opinion came ahead of Meghan’s As Ever line of products re-released a range of items and brought out “some new surprises”. More details are expected to emerge at 4pm today.
