Meghan Markle has been branded “too damn impatient” after renaming her new brand from ‘American Riveria Orchard’ to ‘As Ever’. The 43-year-old previously started paperwork to trademark her brand name, which was previously set to be ‘American Riveria Orchard’, in March last year.
Since then, Meghan has reportedly faced various issues with her application – including problems with the name, as ‘American Riviera’ is commonly used to describe a Californian coast. Speaking of Meghan’s decision to rebrand, Tina Brown – the founding editor of The Daily Beast and royal author – said: “Meghan is too damn impatient. Who announces a new lifestyle brand, American Riviera Orchard, and hounds celebrity friends to talk up her strawberry jam on social media, without doing due diligence on the availability of the trademark?” Following the launch of ‘As Ever, the US Patent Office officially marked the application for ‘American Riviera Orchard’ as “abandoned”, the Daily Mail reports.
