This year has been hugely successful for cinema, and it’s not over yet. We’ve had the joy of films such as Sinners, A Real Pain, and Bridget Jones: Mad About the Boy. That being said, August alone has been a killer month for cinema, with the release of the long-awaited Freaky Friday sequel, a brand new Fantastic Four movie and an intriguing thriller. Rotten Tomatoes has collated a list of the most popular movies right now. Here are the top ten movies of the moment.

The horror film stars real-life married actors Dave Franco and his wife Alison Brie, as a couple who move to the countryside but find themselves encountering a mysterious force that changes their bodies dramatically. Together’s synopsis reads: “Years into their relationship, Tim and Millie (Dave Franco and Alison Brie) find themselves at a crossroads as they move to the country, abandoning all that is familiar in their lives except each other. With tensions already flaring, a nightmarish encounter with a mysterious, unnatural force threatens to corrupt their lives, their love, and their flesh.”

Forced to balance their roles as heroes with the strength of their family bond, they must defend Earth from a ravenous space god called Galactus and his enigmatic Herald, Silver Surfer. And if Galactus’ plan to devour the entire planet and everyone on it weren’t bad enough, it suddenly gets very personal.”
