Rory McIlroy insists the elbow injury that he revealed last week is ‘all good’. The Northern Irishman concerned fans when he announced that he was carrying a fitness issue a week before the start of the Masters.
McIlroy is among the favourites to finally land the green jacket and end an 11-year wait for his fourth major championship. His victories in the Players Championship and the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am provided excellent momentum heading towards Augusta. The 35-year-old tied for fifth at last week’s Houston Open, but he then revealed that he had been suffering from an issue with his elbow.
After revealing that he would get treatment on the problem before the Masters, McIlroy has now allayed fears by revealing that there is now no longer an issue. Asked about the injury, he said: “Elbow’s good, elbow’s good. Got a little bit of treatment on it last week. It’s all good.”
