The creators of an ambitious tech project claim their artificial intelligence-powered robot “designed as a real girl” can hold a conversation, pour you a drink or cut a cigar, and mirror human emotions with her animatronic face – all for a price of just £343,000.
Standing at 5’10” and weighing 47kg, Eliza will use advanced AI to hold conversations. Developers claim she is so advanced she can even understand and respond to emotional cues.
A concept video released online showed a busty orange robot with a humanoid face, long dark hair and glasses.
Eliza could provide companionship for the lonely or perform tasks such as managing your schedule, engaging with social media or processing documents, according to the Eliza Wakes Up project.
It said she is being devloped to give human form to Eliza Labs’ ElizaOS, a popular open-source AI operating system.

“Eliza is designed as a real girl with emotional intelligence, offering human-like companionship. She’s more than code and data—Eliza has her own thoughts, feelings, and experiences.
“Far from being a machine for answering questions, she’s a true companion who engages in conversations, shares stories, and builds meaningful connections.”
The Eliza Wakes Up project is now taking pre-orders with prices starting at $420,000.

The announcement comes after US firm Realbotix unveiled its latest humanoid robot that could be your girlfriend.
The full-bodied female companion model called Aria – costing around £160,000 – drew attention at the major CES technology conference in Las Vegas.
