'Resilient' Queen Camilla 'proud' to step up in wake of Charles and Kate's cancer battles

“She does have incredible energy, she does ballet classes once a week, she’s very fit and healthy.

“Of course, she’s juggling. She wants to spend as much time as possible with the King to support him however she can.”

This coming week Camilla has a packed schedule as she will be hosting a reception at Clarence House on Tuesday.

The reception will welcome authors and neuroscientists to celebrate the results of The Queen’s Reading Room study into the link between reading fiction and well-being.

On Wednesday, the Queen will visit Shrewsbury in Shropshire, where she will visit the local farmers’ market and the recently restored Shrewsbury Flaxmill Maltings.

Thursday will mark a significant event for Camilla, who will lead the royals at the annual Royal Maundy Service in Worcester and will, on behalf of the King, distribute Maundry money in the city’s cathedral.

It will be the first a consort has done this on behalf of the monarch as when the late Queen Elizabeth could not attend Maundy services, she was represented by the then Prince of Wales, her mother Queen Elizabeth and her aunt Princess Mary, but not by Prince Philip.
