On November 2, Ms Badenoch was announced as the new leader of the Tory Party after attaining 53,806 votes.
Robert Jenrick got 41,388.
The turnout was 72.8 % of the party’s membership.
Reform UK’s Chairman, Zia Yosuf, said on X yesterday: “We’ve launched a real-time counter of our membership number.
“Oh, and put the Tory number there too…”
This morning, he added: “Reform UK membership has surged to 120,000. Thank you to all our members!”
It comes after the party said that 1,000 young people joined Reform UK in less than 48 hours after the launch of discounted memberships for under 25s.
Farage said on X last week: “Are you under 25? We have just announced a special deal for you to join Reform UK for just £10.
“Come and join the revolution in British politics.”
He added: “I’m so pleased that on TikTok and elsewhere, so many young people are supporting me, supporting Reform.
“They love the optimistic, patriotic message, and hey, you know, with Elon Musk behind us, we’re kind of almost becoming cool.”
Yesterday, an expert said that Nigel Farage could be Prime Minister after the next General Election as Reform UK surges in the polls.
Martin Baxter, CEO of Electoral Calculus, said: “The really interesting thing for the year ahead is, if they do a bit better than 25 [per cent in the polls], if they can push through that, they might or they might not, but if they get up to 28 per cent, it’s only slightly more than that, then they’re actually the largest party in the House of Commons, and Nigel Farage might be the Prime Minister with Conservative support.”
