Reed Bailey, the fifth-year Indiana transfer, is in the clear for now.

St. John’s 6-foot-10 forward was granted a preliminary injunction for the 2026-27 season, along with a host of other athletes, in a California lawsuit Tuesday. The NCAA is expected to appeal the decision.

Bailey is part of the 2022 high school class the NCAA opted not to include for its new eligibility rule that granted five years of eligibility for players in as many seasons.

The decision in Bailey’s case came after the second of two hearings. St. John’s coach Rick Pitino testified during the first hearing Sept. 29.
