This reason is not to do with Prince Andrew, and instead is to do with their three children Prince George, 12, Princess Charlotte, 10, and Prince Louis, seven.
This is because the three children all finished Lambrook School for half term on October 17 – the same day Andrew relinquished the use of his royal titles.
When their children are off from school, William and Kate, both 43, typically to take a temporary break from public-facing royal duties to spend as much time as possible with their children.
It is believed that while they sometimes stay at their Windsor home during this time, they often also spend some half-term breaks in their other royal residences, including Amner Hall in Norfolk.
This half term, however, the future King and Queen are expected to be extra busy in Windsor as they prepare to move house.
Although an official moving date has not yet been publicly confirmed, the family are set to up and move to their new Forest Lodge Windsor home before November 5.
This means that William and Kate, along with their children, will no doubt have been busy packing moving boxes over the last week at their Adelaide Cottage home.
The family are believed to be excited for the big move, with Forest Lodge expected to be their “forever home”.
