The Princess of Wales may be set to miss the BAFTAs next week due to one very relatable reason.
The British Academy of Film and Television Arts Awards – which the royal has previously attended – will take place on Sunday, February 16.
The royal, 43, could be set to give the event a miss as her children will have just begun their February half-term and she will likely want to spend the event with them. Kate is mum to her three children with Prince William – Prince George, 11, Princess Charlotte, 9, and Prince Louis, 6.
According to the official websiet for Lambrook School in Berkshire, the young trio will be finish school on February 14. They are not expected to return until February 24.
The mother of three is known to be keen to prioritise family over duties, with the family known to typically spend the school half-terms away from their home.
According to HELLO!, the family of five often enjoy spending private time together, whether at their Norfolk home, Anmer Hall, or on a fun family trip.
Plans for the upcoming half-term have not been publicly announced, however the reported decision to spend the evening with her children would not be surprising.
Speaking last month, BAFTA film committee chairman Anna Higgs revealed she was “very hopeful” that Kate will join her husband at this year’s BAFTAs.
Although last year’s event took place before Kate revealed her cancer diagnosis, health concerns meant that William attended alone last year.
At the 2023 event, Kate opted to wear a recycled look – a beautiful white Alexander McQueen gown.
She previously wore the gown to the awards back in 2019. Two years ago, she revamped it with a pair of elegant, velvet black gloves and even added bold gold earrings from Zara.
The 2025 BAFTAs will take place next week at Southbank Centre’s Royal Festival Hall.
