Real Madrid’s team bus was reportedly caught up in a motorway crash less than 24 hours after their Champions League defeat to Liverpool at Anfield.
Footage from a video clip shared on social media appeared to show damage to the front bumper of the La Liga champions’ luxury vehicle, with which they travelled to the stadium on Wednesday night.
The coach can be seen parked in a stationary position on the side of the M40 motorway, one of the main roads in the UK that connects London to Oxford and Birmingham.
It is not yet known whether there were any players or staff members were onboard, or if there have been any injuries.
Madrid would have been due to travel back home to Spain by plane shortly after their Champions League fixture, as Carlo Ancelotti’s side look ahead of their domestic fixture against Getafe on Sunday, December 1.
However, their team coach would still need to be transported back to the Spanish capital via road.
Liverpool celebrated a 2-0 win in front of their fans after goals from Alexis Mac Allister and Cody Gakpo in the second half.
