Dacoda Nichole Jones, the ex-girlfriend of Chiefs wide receiver Rashee Rice, is accusing the Super Bowl champ of choking, strangling, scratching, hitting and headbutting her between December 2023 and July 2025, according to a lawsuit filed this week in Dallas that was obtained by TMZ Sports Wednesday.

“Rashee Rice continued to repeatedly [assault] Dacoda Jones over the course of their relationship,” the lawsuit states.

Jones, who has two children with Rice, alleges most of the abuse occurred while she was pregnant, enduring “bleeding, swelling, bruising, and other pain and physical injury to her neck, face, mouth, arms, legs, chest, and shoulder.”

Jones alleges “other violent and abusive behaviors” occurred, including Rice throwing things at her, “punching walls and breaking furniture.”

Jones is seeking more than $1 million, although the lawsuit did not specify an exact amount.

“The club is aware & remains in communication with the National Football League,” the Chiefs said in a statement.

The lawsuit comes after Jones claimed in an Instagram post last month that she “dealt with abuse for years,” and that following the breakup between “me and this man” a couple of months ago, she has been dealing with “nothing but hell.”

Her Instagram now appears to be deleted.

Jones, who did not name her alleged abuser, included multiple photos of bruises and scratches on her face and body.

In the since-deleted post, Jones alleged that her abuser damaged her property, locked her outside in the cold while she was pregnant and abandoned her and her kids in Kansas.

She added that she’s “so tired of protecting his image” and that “it’s time to protect my peace, protect my children and stand up for myself.”

The NFL launched an investigation into Rice for potential violations of the league’s Personal Conduct Policy after the allegations were made public. It is reportedly still active.

Rice made his relationship with model Rubi Rose Instagram official on Saturday.

In a separate off-the-field incident, Rice pleaded guilty to charges for his role in a high-speed multi-vehicle crash in Dallas that injured several people during the 2024 season.

He was sentenced to five years of deferred probation and 30 days in Dallas County Jail, which he must complete during his probation window.

Rice served a six-game suspension by the NFL as a result of the incident, and he agreed to pay more than $1 million in a settlement to the crash victims.
