Fremont, California, has once again topped the list as the happiest city in America, thanks to its impressive statistics.
The city is no stranger to the spotlight, proudly holding onto the number one spot for an impressive seven years in a row.
In a statement to The Post, Fremont Mayor Raj Salwan said, “Fremont’s recognition as the happiest city in America once again is an honor, and I believe it reflects the strength of our community.”
“People choose Fremont because it is a city with strong neighborhoods, great schools, beautiful parks, a diverse and welcoming community, and a high quality of life.”
He went on to say that while the city strives to be a place where families flourish and businesses prosper, “rankings are not the finish line.”
A national study by Wallet Hub compared large cities across three key areas: emotional and physical well-being, income and employment, and community and environment.
Fremont also has the nation’s highest life satisfaction, the seventh-lowest depression rate, and the fifth-longest average life expectancy, according to the personal finance app.

Salwan added that there is still more to do to make the city even better and even happier, including “continuing to improve public safety, addressing homelessness, supporting affordability, investing in neighborhoods, and expanding opportunity for all residents.”
What fills him with the most pride, he said, is not the recognition alone, but the people who make it possible.
“Fremont’s residents are engaged, caring, and deeply invested in this city’s future, and that is what truly makes Fremont special.”
Five other California cities made the top 25 happiest: Irvine (No. 8), San Jose (No. 10), San Francisco (No. 17), San Diego (No. 21) and Huntington Beach (No. 25).
