Queen Camilla's telltale sign she has a soft spot for Prince Harry – but not Meghan Markle

Queen Camilla has revealed that she had had a soft spot for Prince Harry – but not for his wife, Meghan Markle.

The Queen met Ukraine’s First Lady, Olena Zelenska at Clarence House earlier today. In a clip posted on social media by Olena, Olena was seen speaking to Camilla in the Garden Room, with family photos taking pride of place in the background.

Included in the photographs was one of the Duke of Sussex, now 39, as a teenager. The presence of the image of Harry is a telltale sign that tensions may not be as heightened as previously thought, although no photographs of Meghan Markle were present, which could indicate how she feels about the Duchess of Sussex.

The pair have been at loggerheads with the Royal Family for some time, with Camilla being a prime target of Harry’s attacks in recent years.

In his memoir Spare, Harry labelled his stepmother as “dangerous” and “evil” – even accusing her of leaving “bodies in the street” while trying desperately to alter the public’s perception of her.

Speaking of how he felt to gain a step-parent, Harry wrote: “I have complex feelings about gaining a step-parent who I thought had recently sacrificed me on her personal PR altar.”

Camilla officially became Harry and Prince William’s stepmother in 2005, following her and the now-King Charles’s civil partnership ceremony.

Harry also claimed that he and William “begged” their father not to marry Camilla. In Spare, he wrote: “We support you, we said. We endorse Camilla, we said. Just please don’t marry her.”
