Queen Camilla is taking a week off from her royal duties, and she wouldn’t have done so if King Charles wasn’t happy about it, says one royal expert.
The 75-year-old has jetted off on a private flight for a few days away in the sun.
Rebecca English appeared on this week’s episode of Palace Confidential saying: “There are some saying, she shouldn’t be leaving her husband while he’s undergoing cancer treatment.”
She adds: “But, you know, they’re grownups, and there’s no way she would leave the King unless he was happy for her to do so.
“He would go, ‘Darling, just go, get a couple of days away, and let’s get back into things, next week’.”
Camilla has been working for weeks on end, carrying out 13 royal engagements since the king’s cancer diagnosis.

English says “there’s been a bit of a storm and a teacup about this,” that people are suggesting Camilla is “exhausted” and “stressed,” but the commentator believes it’s something else, that the Queen “takes this week off, around this year, every year.”
Charles himself has been quite busy this week, holding audience with Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau.
The Palace shared a photo, inviting the public into their meeting and the King’s office, with Charles sitting at the computer monitor, with his notebook and pen close by.
A Royally Obsessed podcast fan wrote on their Facebook page: “I love that he has some writing stuff at the desk!”
Charles has gone out of his way to stay connected with the public, sharing updates on a regular basis.
