Queen Camilla carries out secret visit just days before King Charles's prostate surgery


Queen Camilla has carried a secret solo engagement earlier this week, just days before King Charles undergoes prostate surgery.

The monarch, 75, is set to undergo treatment for an enlarged prostate later this week.

Queen Camilla, who known for her supportive role alongside her husband, is now known to have been taking on solo engagements over the last week.

Today, January 23, the Queen privately met with staff and survivors at Refuge’s Gaia Centre in South London. The appearance has been deemed a secret because the Queen did the visit privately and it wasn’t made public beforehand.

Taking to X, the Royal Family’s official account shared a snap of the Queen alongside attendees on the day.

The monarch is spotted beaming in the new picture, appearing relaxed whilst the King takes some time out from royal duties. Fans took to the post to comment their praise of the Queen.

One fan wrote: “Thank you to Her Majesty to put so much effort into this important topic!!”

Camilla’s latest appearance follows a string of engagements over the past week.

On January 22, Camilla stepped out for an engagement in Swindon. Taking to X, the Royal Family’s official account thanked fans for welcoming the Queen in Swindon.

The post read: “Thank you to everyone who came out to welcome The Queen to Swindon today.”

Although she has previously stated that the King is “fine” as he prepares to undergo surgery, the Queen is said to have voiced her concerns over her husband’s busy schedule.

According to The Sun, Camilla has told him he needs to “slow down” a bit as he recovers from the procedure.
